A question that I actually really do get asked a lot is what makeup I am wearing/ what I am doing as a skincare routine. I honestly have been very blessed with clear skin and have not struggled with acne, but do have dry/oily combination skin that has its unique set of struggles.
In the past few years I have just started doing more for my skin as I look towards the future. One of my coworkers is turning 68 years old this year and I was genuinely shocked when she told me she is about to retire because she looks MAYBE 35 if not younger! So I asked her what her secret was and get this: she told me that every day since she was in her 30’s she has been splashing her face with water and using a moisturizing lotion – THAT’S IT! Which is crazy to me because I have literally hundreds of tiny samples of things I have tried in search of some unicorn product but always find myself going back to the basics!
So that is the secret! You heard it here first! It doesn’t really matter if you have all of the fanciest products out there – if you are consistent, and start young – the results will come over time!
I have been using Derma E products for a few years now ever since I got their firming serum in my Ipsy bag and saw it was under $20 at Walmart! I fell in love with their products, and how cheap they are for such great quality! Derma E is dermatologist recommended, proven and effective! Their website says their “100% vegan, cruelty-free formulas also do not contain parabens, sodium lauryl sulfates, petrolatum, mineral oil or artificial colors.”
I am super into the glowy skin look and the secret is using products with vitamin C in them! I have been using the Derma E collection on top of regularly washing my face.
So here are those 6 products from Derma E you need to try:
1. Derma E Vitamin C Renewing Moisturizer, 2 oz (available for $18)
I have been using this moisturizer every morning for the past few weeks and love it! It isn’t sticky and absorbs quickly + leaves your skin feeling revitalized.
2. Derma E Vitamin C Micellar Cleansing Water, 6 oz (available for $11)
This is the best Micellar water I have ever used – and for under $11 it is SO worth it! It doesn’t burn your eyes, and actually takes off your makeup so it has been a home run product for me!
3. Derma E Vitamin C Instant Radiance Citrus Facial Peel, 2 oz (available for $18)
I’m not sure what I am more excited about – this product, or the tiny applicator spoon it comes with! You’ll have to wash your face after using this one because it does leave a little behind – but I cannot exaggerate enough how soft my skin feels after using this, like there is a noticeable difference in brightness and softness immediately! Plus it comes with a tiny spoon…. its really worth it just for that – but the peel is great too.
4. Derma E Vitamin C Intense Night Cream, 2 Oz (available for $18)
Moisturizers and creams that leave a residue are the bane of my existence. I cannot handle the feeling and I wipe it off immediately, but this cream I have been able to leave because it really leaves no weird feeling behind! My skin is crazy soft when I wake up and i’m not mad about it.
5. Derma E Vitamin C Single Use Mask Foil Pack, 0.35 Oz (available for $4)
This tumeric mask is SUPER yellow and I am here for it. Be careful with beauty products containing tumeric because they can stain your clothes/towels, I usually run over my face with a washcloth after using a mask but use makeup wipes with this one instead! I have very sensitive skin, so some masks are a no go for me – but this one gave me no issues!
6. Vitamin C Brightening Glow Micellar Wipes, 0.5 Oz (available for $8)
We love a good face wipe! These have been taking off my makeup so easily! They really leave my skin feeling clean, but they are a little on the small side so you might need two if you are a heavy makeup wearer!
Bonus Item: Vitamin C Concentrated Serum, 2 Oz
I am adding on the Vitamin C serum as a bonus item because it is currently sold out, but hopefully it will be back soon! It is amazing, Derma E serum is originally what made me such a fan of the brand and it cannot be beat for the price! While this one is sold out, I highly recommend their firming serum (this is the one I use every day), which is currently available for $18 online.
Note: All of the Derma E Vitamin C products mentioned in this post were provided to me for free in a PR kit, however this post is not sponsored, and all opinions and thoughts are my own honest reviews. I have been using Derma E long before receiving their new line to try and usually purchase this brand out of pocket from Walmart, where you can usually find the lowest prices! I’m so thankful for a clean and cheap skin care brand that is safe for my Celiac disease, and actually works! (Gluten free beauty products for the win!)
